Detailing is the process of cleaning, restoring, and surpassing the current condition of the vehicle to help bring back that fresh, new car look. Detail jobs can consist of exterior washes, wheel cleaning, windows and/or interior cleaning with a vacuum, dashboard cleaning, conditioning products and more, depending on what the client desires.

Depending on the package you choose, a detail can include anything from just an exterior job, an interior job, both, or more.
Basic exterior washes usually include wheel and tire cleaning, exterior paint wash with a dedicated car soap product, window cleaning to a streak-free clarity, possibly a light to medium durability wax (Depending on the selected package), and tire dressing (shine). Higher-level exterior packages can include clay bar treatments, a higher durability protective hand waxing, and other things like paint correction. Basic interior jobs consist of cleaning windows, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, and wiping them down. Higher-level interior packages can consist of all of these things plus deep cleaning of carpets and upholstery, leather cleaning and conditioning, steam treatment, and more.

A clay bar treatment is the process of removing contaminants stuck in the paint of your vehicle such as squashed bugs, brake dust, road grime, and more that a normal car wash would not be able to remove.
Claying the surface of a car is like removing the blackheads from your skin with a nose strip, except the nose strip is a clay bar and the car paint is the nose. The purpose of a clay treatment is to give the surface of the paint a fresh smooth feel and level of shine that contaminants prevent the paint to obtain.

Detailing your vehicle will keep it looking its best. Detailing protects your vehicle’s paint and interior finishes, removes stains and odors you might not be able to remove yourself, and helps retain your car’s resale value. It’s recommended to get a good detail job done on your vehicle before selling because you have a better chance of receiving a higher resale evaluation.

At Elite Precision Auto Detailing, we use industry-grade brands like Meguire’s, Griots Garage, P&S, and 3D products to provide the best results for our clients. We use everything from degreasers, all-purpose cleaners, tire & wheel cleaners that can break through those hard to remove layers of brake dust, long-lasting tire shine products, waxes, and sealants to protect the paint from the harsh elements.

A car detail can take anywhere from 2 hours to 10+ hours depending on many factors. Things like the condition of the vehicle and the client’s wants, needs, and/or goals for the vehicle. When hiring a detailer, make sure that you are prepared to be without a vehicle for the time being. The more time and patience you give to your detailer, the better the results you will receive.

Prices can vary depending on location, condition of the vehicle, the size of the vehicle, what exactly you desire to be done to the vehicle, and whether it’s a mobile job.
